Stable Diffusion XL vs Midjourney V6 Detail

Switched from Midjourney V6 to Stable Diffusion XL – the increased detail in the images is incredible, but I’m really struggling to understand how the copyright claims against using trained models like Stable Diffusion are being handled, especially considering the massive datasets they’re built on!
