Anyone else notice a significant uptick in Midjourney v6.1’s photorealism, especially with prompts emphasizing cinematic lighting? I’ve been running a series of tests generating portraits, and the level of detail in skin textures – particularly around the eyes – is noticeably improved compared to v6, often producing results with a reflectivity factor around 0.85 that feels genuinely realistic. While the tendency for slightly over-processed results remains, the overall quality shift is compelling, making it a strong contender against DALL-E 3 for high-fidelity image generation.
