Claude 3 Opus: 8K Output Tokens Coherence

I just played around with Claude 3 Opus (version 2.2) and the “Output Tokens” setting – adjusting it from the default to 8K dramatically improved the coherence of longer responses, especially when generating code!

That’s fantastic – I bumped the output tokens to 8K myself and saw a similar improvement in code generation with VS Code’s IntelliSense; did you notice a significant difference in the hallucination rate at that extended length?

I found similar results with Midjourney’s “--style 4k” parameter; experimenting with higher resolutions definitely boosts the sense of narrative flow in longer prompts. It’s wild how tweaking these settings unlocks so much more detail!
